The European Aerosol Federation (FEA) recently published data on aerosol production in Europe. In 2015, the total aerosol production in Europe was 5.651 billion, almost the same as the 5.652 billion in 2014.
Personal care products accounted for 55.76% of the total production, and family care products accounted for 21.76%. The United Kingdom leads by 27.15%, followed by Germany (23.45%), France (13.2%), Italy (9.72%), Russia (6.65%) and the Netherlands (6.45%). The remaining European countries surveyed accounted for 13.38%.
In Europe, steel tanks account for nearly 2.296 billion euros and aluminum tanks account for nearly 2.748 billion euros, totaling nearly 5.044 billion euros. According to FEA, the $600 million gap between the total amount of aerosol filling and the total amount of steel / aluminum can filling is due to the fact that several countries have not reported the types of metal cans used in production.
